Aswath Ramakrishnan

Aswath read Law in Northumbria University, Newcastle in the United Kingdom, receiving his LL.B (Hons) and subsequently LL.M in International Commercial Law, where he also had the distinct privilege of shadowing several Supreme and Crown Court Judges.
Upon being admitted to the United Kingdom Bar as a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, he was recruited by the International Criminal Courts (ICC) in the Hague, Netherlands where he practiced international criminal law and represented various individuals charged with war crimes ranging from torture, genocide, breach of the Geneva Convention, crimes against humanity and plunder of public or private property.
He returned to Malaysia to practice civil and commercial litigation with Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co. as part of its dispute resolution department. His areas of practice included maritime law, compulsory land acquisition, defamation, insolvency, arbitration, debt recovery, insider trading, and cross-border disputes.
Aswath currently heads the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group and has appeared before various Courts in Malaysia including the Federal Court. He advises clients on both civil and criminal law with an emphasis on banking, maritime law, land disputes, defamation, arbitration, debt recovery, insolvency and fraud.
On the corporate front, he sits as an independent director on the boards of several public listed companies in Malaysia and Singapore.
Nurul Amira Binti Mohd Zahir

As head of the Firm’s Conveyancing Department, Amira advises private and corporate clients on property and land matters, including property financing. She is adept at drafting sale and purchase agreements and financing documentation for both conventional and Islamic products. She also advises clients on applications for Probate and Letters of Administration and drafting Wills and Trusts.
Amira graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from International Malaysia Islamic University (IUM) and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2016. She later obtained her Diploma in Syariah Law & Practice (DSLA) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UITM).
Aqilah Lokman

Weera is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group. His experience encompasses the areas of General Litigation, Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation, Employment Law/Industrial Relation matters, Commercial & Corporate Litigation, Non-Contentious Probate & Will Drafting, Shareholder Disputes, as well as Banking Litigation/Execution Proceedings. He also handles Strata Management-related matters and disciplinary complaints involving solicitors. He frequently appears in the subordinate, superior and appellate Courts in West Malaysia, as well as the Industrial Court, to conduct Hearings and Trials.
Weera was elected to the KL Bar Committee for the 2022/23 term and chaired the KLBC Pupils Committee. He has since been re- elected for the 2023/24 term. He is also widely known among his peers in the profession and public for his wide array of legal articles published at his blog, BrainyLaw, for which he has been recognized as the only Malaysian lawyer listed in the Top 10 List of Asia Law Portal’s 30 People to watch in the business of law in 2023. During weekends, he can be found lecturing law students and aspiring lawyers on the subject of Civil Procedure for the Certificate of Legal Practice programme.

Haikal Adnin

Haikal is an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group as well as the Firm’s Syarie Counsel (Peguam Syarie), accredited in the Federal Territories and Selangor.
He mostly handles general litigation, particularly matters relating to Probate and Letters of Administration at the High Court was well as small estates, drafting of Wills and Trusts, Hibah Agreement, and Mutual Understanding Agreement between heirs of the deceased.
As for Syariah matters, he handles divorce and matrimonial property matters, Fara’id applications, and applications for Registration of Adoption for Muslims.
Haikal graduated with a double degree Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Syariah) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2022.
